Canamens has core assets in two areas.
UK North Sea
The Kraken Oilfield: Canamens holds a 20% interest in the Kraken field, which is newly appraised by the 9/2b- 4/4z and 5/5z wells and demonstrated commercial rates of 4500 bbl/day in the flow test of the 9/2b-5z well, with potential to reach 8000 bbl/day per well. Development studies and preliminary engineering work is underway with Project Sanction targetted in 3Q 2012 is planned. Canamens 20% share of Kraken resources is estimated to be 32 mmbbls (2C) to 62 mmbbls (3C).
Canamens also holds several licences in blocks adjacent to the Kraken field. Developments in seismic technology, recently calibrated by drilling, suggest considerable, previously unrecognised upside exists in leads and prospects similar to the Kraken field itself. For more details Click Here.
Morocco
Essaouira Offshore Exploration Permit: Canamens holds an interest in this large prospective exploration block offshore Morocco with extensive 3D seismic exploration work planned during 2012. In common with much of offshore West Africa the area contains all the key ingredients for a successful new play exploration campaign with multi billion bbl potential.
Canamens has strategic relationships with selected partners who operate the core assets working closely with JV operators to enhance and ensure achievement of JV objectives. The Canamens core strategy is to maximise value delivery from its core assets, progressing high-graded exploration and appraisal activity directly associated with its core assets, building on established distinctive technical know-how and relationships.
